Cancellation Policy:

The following cancellation penalties will apply to any guest that cancels their reservation. These cancellation penalties will NOT be waived by Royal Caribbean regardless of the reason (even in extenuating circumstances that would prevent you from traveling such as an injury, illness, or a death affecting you, a family member or your traveling companion) and apply on a per passenger basis. There are NO exceptions to these cancellation policies; for this reason, we strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance to protect yourself from any financial losses if you need to cancel unexpectedly.

IF CANCELLATION IS MADE CANCELLATION CHARGE
75 days or more prior to the first day of the Cruise Non-Refundable Deposit Amount
74 to 61 days 50% of total price
60 to 31 days 75% of total price
30 days or less 100% of total price (No refund)

Cruise with Confidence: The only exception to the above cancellation policy is Royal Caribbean’s Cruise with Confidence program. Guests that book their cruise by January 31, 2021 can enjoy the flexibility of being able to cancel for any reason, up to 72 hours before their cruise, and receive a Future Cruise Credit instead of being penalized. Your Future Cruise Credit would be good for 1 year past the date of your canceled cruise. The standard cancellation penalties would apply for those guests not interested in taking advantage of the Cruise with Confidence program. In this case, guests would receive a partial refund based on the above cancellation policy.

Reservation Change Fees:

Reservation Change Fees (passenger name changes, cabin changes, or any other change): IF ALLOWED BY ROYAL CARIBBEAN, changes made any time after the deposit has been paid are subject to the following administrative fees: $25 name/cabin change fee per change.

Name Changes: In order to process a name change, the NEW guest must make full payment first (by logging in to his/her account online). Once that payment has been made, then the applicable amounts paid by the ORIGINAL guest will be refunded directly to the original guest. The name change fee will be applied to the new guest.
Please note: Name changes are at the discretion of Royal Caribbean, at least one of the original names (Main Guest) must remain on the reservation; if all guest names in a cabin are changed, this will be processed as a cancellation.

Cabin Occupancy Changes: Please note that cruise rates are based on the number of people in your cabin. Any changes in occupancy will result in a rate increase or decrease for the remaining guests in your cabin (depending on the type of change).

Refunds:

Refunds will be processed directly to the original credit card(s) used for payment (minus any applicable penalties/fees).

Please note that any administrative fees are non-refundable. These non‑refundable fees include, but are not limited to: reinstatement/cancellation/late payment fees, processing fees, reservation change fees, name change fees, and travel protection premiums.

Requesting a reservation change or cancellation:

All cancellation and reservation changes must be requested by the Main Guest (guest that created the reservation) using our “Reservation Change Request Form.” To request the form, the Main Guest must email [email protected]. Change requests made by phone, webchat, or requests by proxy (another person, even if they paid) will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made. Cancellations and modifications must be received during regular business hours. Should you need to cancel or modify your reservation after business hours, during a weekend or holiday, your cancellation or modification will be processed on the next business day. Business hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm Eastern Time. Additional penalties may occur if a new penalty level is reached. Reservation changes are at the discretion of the cruise-line.

No changes of any kind (name or cabin) will be accepted within two weeks (14 days) of sailing.

You are free to purchase drinks on the cruise a la carte off the menu. In average drinks are priced as follows: alcoholic drinks $10, beers $7, sodas $3, bottled water $2… this is when Drink Packages come in handy. The unlimited deluxe beverage package allows you to enjoy as many cocktails, beers, and other alcoholic drinks as you want for a fixed daily price (as low as $59 per night). If you plan on drinking more than 5-6 drinks per day, we definitely recommend a drink package. Royal Caribbean adjusts their drink package prices based on demand so pricing will vary by sail date – we recommend to pre-purchase it early to save. We will periodically send emails if Royal holds any sales on the drink packages to help you save.

DELUXE BEVERAGE PACKAGE:

$63 – $79 PER NIGHT (+ 18% GRATUITY)

Price may vary by sail date. Package must be purchased for the length of the cruise (4 nights). You must be 21 by the start of the cruise to be able to purchase this package. Enjoy unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks all cruise long. You can use your drink package at all bars and restaurants on the ship and in Cococay, Royal Caribbean’s private island.  We recommend to purchase your drink package in advance (at least 4 days prior to your sail date) to save more versus purchasing it on the ship. The price will be higher if purchased onboard, usually around $79 per guest, per night.

This package includes:
• Cocktails / Spirits / Liqueurs / Beer
• Bottled still and sparkling water
• Wines by the glass
• Fresh squeezed juices / Non-alcoholic cocktails
• Premium coffees and teas
• Fountain sodas / Coca-Cola Freestyle® beverages
• Coca-Cola® souvenir cup included

An 18% gratuity charge will be added to the total package price. Royal Caribbean requires all guests 21+ in the same cabin to purchase the Deluxe Beverage Package if at least one other person in their cabin has one. Royal Caribbean may or may NOT provide an exemption to this rule (at their discretion) for guests that do not consume alcohol for personal, health or religious reasons. A non-alcoholic drink package may be required to be purchased in this case. To arrange for an exemption, call Royal Caribbean at (800) 398-9819.

HOW TO PURCHASE A DRINK PACKAGE

We recommend to purchase the drink package BEFORE the cruise to save. Drink package prices will be about $8-10 more per night if purchased on board the ship.

Online:

You can purchase a drink package once you receive a Royal Caribbean Reservation # from us. Once booked, follow these simple steps: 1. Go here: MY CRUISE PLANNER 2. Enter your LAST NAME and your ROYAL CARIBBEAN RESERVATION # which can be found in your email confirmation from us. 3. Enter your departure date and select ‘Mariner of the Seas’ as the ship, then press ‘Submit.‘ 4. Make your purchase online following the prompts 5. You can also purchase Shore Excursions, Specialty Dining Options, Spa Packages and Wifi packages through the Cruise Planner. If you purchase online, the drink package will be added to all guests in your cabin that are 21 and only one credit card can be used. We recommend calling Royal Caribbean instead to be able to use multiple cards if needed (or purchase them on the ship).

Phone:

You can call Royal Caribbean at (800) 398-9819 in the U.S. or Canada to purchase your drink package. Please have your Royal Caribbean Reservation # ready when you call.

On the Ship:

Another option is to wait and purchase the drink package onboard the ship. Drink packages can be purchased at various kiosks set up around the ship, as well as any bar or lounge. Because this is a 4 night cruise, you must purchase them on the first day of the cruise.

Travel Time To/From Airports:

Miami International Airport: 10 miles, approximately 20 minutes.
Ft. Lauderdale Airport: 25 miles, approximately 45 minutes (Travel times depending on traffic conditions)

Hotels in Miami

We recommend that you consider coming in a day early before the cruise or staying one or two days after the cruise to experience all that Miami has to offer. Arriving a day early also helps reduce the chance of missing the ship due to unexpected flight delays or cancellations.

There are many hotels near the port (Downtown Miami area) including:

  1. Holiday Inn Port of Miami-Downtown

What to Pack

Bathing suit and sunscreen are obvious – Here’s a few recommendations:

  • Pack everything you need for the first day in a small carry-on bag (change of clothes, bathing suit, sandals, toiletries, medicine, etc…). You might not get your checked bag until 7:00 PM on the first day.
  • Pack a couple of casual outfits (don’t forget shoes) for dinner, the nightclub and other venues.
  • Pack a formal outfit for the formal night (2nd night).
  • Don’t forget your sandals and a cover-up/t-shirt.
  • Bring a small beach bag for when we get off the ship.
  • Bring some cash for when we’re off the ship in Nassau (US Dollars are used – no need to exchange currency).
  • Sunscreen.
  • Bring some sneakers if you want to go to the gym, rock-climbing, etc…
  • Passport, ID, travel documents.
  • Leave your alcohol (liquor) at home. They will check your luggage and will confiscate any liquor they see.
    • Guests may bring personal wine and champagne onboard only in their carry-on luggage on boarding day, limited to two (2) 750 ml bottles per stateroom.

If you forget anything, there are shops on-board.

We recommend for everyone to purchase travel insurance. A small investment now will save you a headache later on when something unexpected comes up. So why should you bother purchasing travel insurance?

  • PROTECT YOUR CRUISE PAYMENT: The cruise has cancellation penalties that will increase the closer we get to the sail date – Royal Caribbean will NOT waive these penalties even in extenuating circumstances like being in the hospital or having a death in the family. Nothing makes us feel worse that giving you the bad news of how much money you will lose when you contact us trying to cancel your cruise. Travel Insurance will protect you from these cancellation penalties/fees (for a valid reason like sickness, job loss, etc…).
  • PROTECT YOURSELF (HEALTH INSURANCE): Your regular health insurance may only cover you within the US, you may not be covered while you are in the Bahamas or at sea. Although a cruise is probably the safest vacation you can partake on, injuries can happen… keep in mind that you will be paying emergency room prices if you have to take a trip down to the ship’s medical facility. Travel Insurance can cover these costs.
  • IT’S CHEAP: Travel insurance is very affordable (in most cases around $40 per person) – there is no reason why anyone should go without it. You will be asked if you want to purchase travel insurance when you book.

We recommend adding Travel Guard to your reservation for affordable travel insurance with great coverage. Please CLICK HERE for details and to obtain a QUOTE
